Physical activity is good for people of all ages and according to research halves the risk of developing coronary heart disease.
Physical activity might involve going swimming, an exercise class or playing a sport. But it also includes everyday things such as walking, gardening and climbing stairs. You can gain the benefits of activity from all these different types of physical activity.
We can now offer an exercise referral scheme at the surgery which allows patients who meet certain criteria to gain the benefit of reduced leisure centre costs and encourages patients to take part in regular exercise.
Our surgery website is regularly updated and can be used for booking appointments and requesting prescriptions. It also contains lots of useful patient information about the services we offer. In addition there are links to other services.
