Morland House Surgery has been in its present building since
July 1995. Previously we were sited in one of the first ‘purpose
built’ surgeries in the country – at Church Road, Wheatley.
As our patient list grew and the NHS changed, this building became too
small and we started the hunt for new premises or a piece of land to build
on. Morland House children’s home was closing down and the partners
were delighted to have the opportunity to purchase it. It is a lovely
old house, which, prior to being a children’s home was a rectory.
Another attraction was that, at long last, there would be parking for
cars!
We now have 10,000 patients spread over 70 square miles. We have four partners and five other general practitioners with wide expertise and clinical interests. Our large team enjoys working together and is always trying to find new ways of providing a better service to our patients.
We are part of the Oxfordshire PCT whoes offices are based at Jubilee House Oxford.
The practice regularly participates in Oxfordshire wide clinical audit. We are always one of the highest scoring practices in these audits.
The practice enjoys close links with the University and enjoys teaching senior medical students and first year students alike.
