DR Catherine Jarvis MB BS (London 1998) DCH DRCOG DFFP MRCGP
Dr Catherine Jarvis graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London, in 1998. After 1 year working at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, she then completed her GP training scheme back at St Mary’s, including 1 year in General Practice in Paddington. She has been working at Morland House Surgery since leaving London in 2002. As well as her GP work, she works at the Sue Ryder Hospice at Nettlebed, and is a Pre-Clinical Tutor at the University of Oxford.
Her areas of special interest are Palliative Care and Women’s Health.
DR Kirsty Rayner MB BCh (Birmingham 1997) MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFFP
Dr Kirsty Rayner joined Morland House Surgery in 2004 having worked as a GP locum in Oxford city and Witney. Dr Rayner qualified as a doctor at the University of Birmingham in 1997 and completed her GP training in Oxfordshire in 2002.
Her areas of special interests are Women’s Health and Paediatrics.
Dr Tim Wilson BM BS (Nottingham 1986) MPhill FRCGP MFPH MRCP
Dr Tim Wilson is an experienced GP who works one day a week in the surgery; the rest of the time he works in management in London. Prior to working in Morland House Surgery, Tim was a partner at Mill Stream Surgery in Benson for 17 years; he left to take up his post in London. Tim has worked at the Department of Health, advising ministers and Number 10 on health policy. He was previously an international fellow at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Tim did his medical training at the University of Nottingham and GP training in Lincolnshire. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs.
Dr Karen Bateman
Dr Karen Bateman qualified in 1997 at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School. Since then she has worked as a GP in Oxfordshire and was a partner for 5 years at Millstream Surgery in Benson. In August 2006 she and her husband, who is also a GP in Oxfordshire, left England to spend 2 years in Uganda working at a Hospice setting up a special service for children, as well as working and teaching within the adult clinical department . Their links with Uganda remain strong as they maintain their work with fund raising activities.
Dr Nicole Doling
Dr Nicole Doling joined Morland House Surgery in 2009 having worked as a GP in London. Dr Doling qualified as a doctor at the University of Nottingham in 2002 and completed her GP training in London in 2008. Her special interests are in Women’s Health and medical education.
Dr Ahsan Alvi – MBBS (London 1998)MBBS St Georges Medical school.
Dr Alvi qualified in 1998 at St George’s Hospital Medical School. After qualifying, he worked in hospitals in South London, High Wycombe and Leicester gaining hospital clinical experience before deciding to train as a General Practitioner in the Oxford area. This training included a 6 month attachment to the Oxford Mental Health Trust.
Since qualifying as a GP in 2004 he has worked as a GP in Oxford but spent 2006 in Jordan and took 6 months out in 2008 to work in Syria. Dr Alvi's special interest within General Practice is psychiatry.
