Health visitors

The Headington and Wheatley Health Visitor Team provides health promotion and advice to all families with children under five years old on a variety of health and social issues. The team are located at: North Way Community Centre, Dora Carr Close, Headington, Oxford OX3 9RF.

The Health Visitors are carrying out home visits as well as seeing families at planned appointments, however please note that drop in weighing clinics are not currently being run.

If you have any concerns about your baby or child aged under five years then please do get in contact.

Child Health Checks

New baby 6-8 week health checks and all childhood immunisations are by appointment with the doctor and nurse respectively. You will be notified by the local health authority and asked to contact the surgery reception to book your child in for the health check. We would like to remind parents and carers to bring the child’s Red Book to each appointment.
