We offer travel advice and travel immunisations that are available through the NHS.
Please telephone the surgery on 01865 872448 at least 6 weeks before the date of your travel so we can arrange for a Practice Nurse to check which vaccines you may require. Please note if you give us less notice we may not be able to offer you an appointment for your NHS travel vaccinations.
Travel vaccines that are provided by the NHS are Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio, and Cholera.
Travel vaccines not available on the NHS include Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Hepatitis B, Yellow Fever, Meningitis ACWY, Tick-borne Encephalitis. These can be sourced either at a chemist offering travel services or a private travel clinic.
Malaria tablets are not prescribed by the NHS – please see the chemist or private travel clinic to obtain the medication and advice.
