Our Here for Health Centre is here for you to drop in, for information and advice on healthy living and how to reduce your risk of ill health.Our Here for Health Centre is a Health Improvement Advice Centre for our patients, staff and visitors.You are welcome to drop in for a ‘mini health MOT’, information and advice on healthy living and wellbeing, and how to reduce your risk of ill health.


The Healthwise GP referral scheme provides a full lifestyle assessment, which includes a fitness assessment, goal setting, body measurements as well as an individually tailored activity programme. There are many physical activity options to take part in whilst on the programme, including supervised gym classes, studio classes, and swimming, walking and entry level sport options, all at a reduced price.

Social Prescribing (Age UK)

Social prescribing is a free service run by Age UK that offers a range of local, non-medical activities that can help to improve your health and support you to make the most of life. Social prescribing works to connect you to local, community sector organisations, activities, opportunities and support, aiming to take a more holistic approach to your health and wellbeing.

Get Oxfordshire Active (GO Active)

GO Active is a county-wide initiative to support adults over the age of 16 into getting more active.Through partnerships with leisure providers, local authorities and other deliverers, the initiative makes a variety of exercise types more accessible to everyone.They offer many programmes within the initiative, including GO Active Get Healthy with Diabetes, GO Active Gold, GO Active Healthy Mind and Disability & Inclusive Activities.


A FREE, 12-step course is full of mindfulness tips and practices on how to deal with unpredictability and stress. Designed by Breathworks Co-founder Vidyamala Burch, it is based on tried and tested mindfulness methods for creatively managing your mind and body.
